Free summer meals available through the Summer BreakSpot program

June 9, 2021 – Free breakfast and lunch meals are now available to children 18 and under through the federal Summer BreakSpot program.

The meals can be picked up at school and non-school locations throughout Duval County. There are three ways to find a site serving meals:

The website contains the times each site is serving breakfast and lunch. Note that these times vary by location. Additionally, the website indicates whether a site is open and has begun its meal service or will begin at a future date.

This year our summer food service program will return to our traditional food service operation prior to the COVID 19 pandemic.   Students will enter the school building and go through the cafeteria line for the meals. Breakfast and lunch are served separately.  Food will not be served curbside outside of our school buildings. Menus for school locations are available by visiting duvalschools.nutrislice.com.

The Summer BreakSpot program is a federal program that is offered annually to prevent child hunger while school is out. Meals at school sites will run now through July 30.
