May 26, 2022 – Fifth-grade students at Mayport Coastal Sciences Elementary made a big splash at Mandarin Park, thanks to a special event: the release of dozens of Striped Bass into the St. Johns River.
It was the culmination of a weeks-long project in which students nurtured and cared for the fish until they were big enough to be released.
