One-stop shop for parent support to open Thursday and run through Tuesday, Aug. 25

Aug. 19, 2020 – To support parents and provide answers to frequently asked questions, the district has assembled a one-stop shop parent support center that will be available weekdays beginning tomorrow and run through next Tuesday, Aug. 25.

The one-stop shop will be located at the Schultz Center. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Representatives from the following departments will be available to answer questions.

• School Choice
• Duval HomeRoom
• Duval Virtual Academy
• ESE
• Technology
• Families in Transition
• Home Education

The one-stop shop center is not meant to replace schools, which typically serve as the primary source of support for families and students. Rather, it is to assist in supporting parents with face-to-face service as schools work to reopen and various call centers experience high call volumes.

Face masks will be required for all visitors, and families are asked to please respect social distancing measures. Additionally, please limit to one member per family if possible.

The Schultz Center is located 4019 Boulevard Center Dr, Jacksonville, FL 32207. The center will not be open on the weekend.
